Reporting Overview for PROMs

Everything you need to know about navigating your reporting portal

Updated over 8 months ago

In this page we will take you through the key components of PROMs reporting. Please note that access to these reporting features will depend on your role permissions.

Alternatively, check out our PROMs reporting video channel here or watch our PROMs Reporting Basics Webinar below.

PROM Dashboards

The dashboard view acts as the landing page when you log into the reporting portal, providing a snapshot summary of survey results and is designed to highlight key measures of performance. Dashboards are made up of a range of widgets that act as mini-reports and are specific to your programme. Each widget displays data for a set period of time, such as data from this month or quarter.

Make sure to check out all dashboard views in your left hand side navigation menu.

PROMs key charts

Patient Journey Chart

This chart shows the progression of the patient cohort's outcome measurement scores across feedback rounds.

This is a quick snapshot view that highlights which outcomes are improving or deteriorating over an episode of care.

Hover over a data point to see the outcomes measurement score for the specific survey round.

Outlier / Bubble Chart

This chart shows the average change across two survey rounds for a specific outcomes measure and particular cohort e.g. by hospital.

The survey rounds are shown on the X and Y axis. The larger the bubble, the more responses are represented within.

Hover over each bubble to see the relevant cohort and the average change. This chart is great for spotting potential outliers!

Adjusting survey rounds

Adjust the survey rounds you are comparing the data against up in your filter panel. Expand Filters and drag the sliders across Survey Rounds to compare various survey rounds. Click Apply.

Change the outcomes measurement reported on in your chart, from the drop-down menu next to the export button.

Change the cohort you’re seeing the data grouped by e.g., by hospital. Your options can be found in the top menu above your chart.

Reviewing Individual Responses / Clinicians View

View your individual patient’s responses across survey rounds, providing in-depth insight into the patient’s self-reported journey and outcomes. Note that not all users will have access to this functionality.

Action Register

The Action Register is where immediate, actionable change can be made from survey feedback. When a respondent has asked you to contact them, or has submitted a response that requires action, their survey response will drop into your Action Register. Note that not all users will have access to this functionality.

Watch a quick training video for managing actions here.

The Action Register is designed to make it easy for a nominated administrator or different teams to manage these responses through to resolution.

Typical actions are:

  • Contact requests

  • PROM alert - patient experienced a significant drop in outcomes between survey round. The alert criteria will be specific to your programme and survey.

Comments Report

This report is filled with rich data that provides stories and context to the ratings and trends within the survey results. All of the free-text responses to questions in the survey are displayed here in these comment reports. These reports can compile multiple free-text questions into a single location, housing all qualitative response data in a single report for ease of access.

Smart Capture and Patient List

If activated for your programme and your user role, Smart Capture allows you to view the completion status of patients by different survey rounds. For patients who have been invited to complete a survey, or started but not yet completed, you can prompt completion while they are in your care setting.

If your programme utilises QR codes or specific survey links to encourage participation, this is where you can find them within your reporting portal.

Learn more about where to find smart capture and how to use this here.

Response Statistics

Response statistics reports will show you a breakdown of who has been invited to participate and who has responded, along with other relevant information.
