Response count indicators

Learn the various ways you can see the number of responses within a chart or respondent group.

Updated over 3 years ago

When using reporting filters you may see that there are numbers attached to each option in the drop down list. These are indicative of the amount of responses present in the system for that filter option should you decide to apply to your data.

In the example below, you can see that each age group filter option has a different indicative response count next to it.

So if we were to select "25 - 44" age group and apply this filter, we would expect to see an updated response count in the chart from 5071 responses to 1098 responses.

TIP! The response count indicators in the filter panel will adjust dynamically according to your date range selection and other filter selections. This will allow you to build a selection of filters and predict the outcome on the move without having to click Apply after each selection.

Total Response Count

Each report will tell you how many responses are contributing to the data on-screen, in the top left of your report.

Depending on how many responses are showing for the report, you can judge how reliable any trends may be. The higher the response count the stronger the inferences you can make.

For more group specific response statistics, you can toggle over certain bars, lines or points. This shows the total respondents for your selected filters.
